Think back to your childhood. Think about your favorite moments with your parents, with your family.
Now imagine for a minute that you didn't have a family.... yeah, seriously. No mom to tuck you in at night. No dad to give piggy back rides. No one you knew would always be there.
Our girls have waited FOUR YEARS for a family. At ages 4 1/2 and 10, they have been told for 4 years that maybe eventually a family would come for them. They have, from what we can tell, been in a good foster home for the past couple years, but they have known every day that is was temporary. They have watched friends in the foster community they are part of get their care packages which signals that they are wanted and going home. Waited and watched for their turn. Hoping they would be chosen. Can you imagine what that would be like?.... For FOUR YEARS to wait for your turn at what most of us probably took for granted, still take for granted.
I honestly can't, and I cry every single time I think about it. We are SO ready to go. If you want to help, click the link. Select a golden envelope and your donation is doubled thanks to a very generous match donor. And PLEASE repost this... please. Four years is a long time. They shouldn't wait another day!
